titleOfInvention | Quantitative analysis of strontium in solid electrolyte |
abstract | PURPOSE: To quantify a very small amount of strontium with high sensitivity by a method wherein nitric acid is added to a solid electrolyte to be heated to decompose the solid electrolyte and, after cooling, boric acid is mixed therewith to be dissolved under heating and, after cooling, cobalt is added to a liquid mixture of a filtrate and a nitric acid washing solution of a precipitate to bring the same to constant volume by water to prepare a sample solution. n CONSTITUTION: A solid electrolyte being a sample is heated at 100 - 250°C for about 0.5hr under stirring to be decomposed and subsequently cooled to be mixed with boric acid to be decomposed under heating and, after cooling, the reaction mixture is filtered and the filtrate is received in a messflask. Filter paper is washed with nitric acid in order to obtain strontium remaining on the filter paper and the washing solution is received in the messflask to be mixed with the filtrate and cobalt is added to the messflask and water is further added thereto to bring the liquid mixture to constant volume to prepare a sample solution due to a high frequency inductive coupling type plasma light emitting method. By this method, strontium can be quantified with high sensitivity. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio |
