abstract NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I (M is 2H, Cu or Ni). n EXAMPLE: A nonmetallic tetrakis(bornane[2,3-b]pyrazino)porphyrazine. n USE: A thermally stable near infrared-sensitive dye, used in optical recording media, electrophotographic sensitive materials, photosensitive materials for optical printers such as laser printers or light-emitting diode(LED) printers, bar cord readers, etc., capable of providing guest-host type display liquid crystal panels by mixing thereof with liquid crystal materials, oxidation reduction catalysts, freshness retaining agent for petals, cut flowers and foods and having strong absorption in near infrared rays. n PREPARATION: Bornane[2,3-b]pyrazinodicarbonitrile expressed by formula II is heated with Curl, CuCl 2 , Ni, NiCl or NiCl 2 or without using any substance, as necessary, in a high-boiling inert solvent such as quinoline or trichlorobenzene at 100-250°C. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
