PURPOSE: To improve adhesive properties, transparency and surface properties on interface by adding specific intercalation compound grains to a polymer. n CONSTITUTION: An organic substance (e.g. ethylene glycol) is dissolved in a solvent having ≤150°C boiling point at a concentration of 1-50wt.% and a layer substance (e.g. zirconium phosphate) is add to the solution, and the mixture is stirred at 20-100°C for 1hr to 1 month to provide the intercalation compound containing 0.1-15wt.% organic substance in intercalation, having ≤5μm average grain diameter and being ≤10wt.% in the ratio of crude large grains having ≥10μm grain diameter. Then the grains are added to a polymer (e.g. polyethylene terephthalate) at a ratio of 0.01-80% during polymerization thereof or using a mixing roll, etc., to provide the intercalation compound grain-containing polymer. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio |
