abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain a thermosetting resin composition excellent in impact resistance and toughness by mixing a specified diamine compound with a specified bismaleimide compound or a polymaleimide compound. n CONSTITUTION: A thermosetting resin composition comprising a diamine compound of formula I, a bismaleimide compound of formula II or a polymaleimide compound of formula III. In formula II, R 1 is a group of formula IV or V or the like; R2, R 3 and R 4 are each H or methyl; X is a direct bond, CH 2 or the like; R 5 is a bivalent group of formula VI or VII; Y is a direct bond, a 1-10C bivalent hydrocarbon group or the like, The diamine compound can be industrially advantageously produced in high yield and purity by condensing 1,3-bis-(4- hydroxy-α,α-dimethylbenzyl)benzene with p-nitrochlorobenzene in the presence of a base in an aprotic polar solvent and reducing the product. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio |
