titleOfInvention | Polyethylene terephthalate composition |
abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain a polybutylene terephthalate composition improved in fluidity in molding without impairing toughness and strength of molded products by blending polybutylene terephthalate with a specific both terminal-blocked oligobutylene terephthalate. n CONSTITUTION: A composition is composed of (A) 100 pts.wt. polybutylene terephthalate consisting essentially of terephthalic acid and butylene glycol, (B) 0-200 pts.wt. filler, preferably glass fiber and (C) 3-10 pts.wt. both terminal- blocked oligobutylene terephthalate having 5-15, preferably 8-10 average polymerization degree and ≤5ppm content of titanium element as a catalyst metal, e.g. obtained by controlling the molar ratio of a lower alkyl ester of terephthalic acid to butylene glycol and lower alkyl esterifying both terminals or subjecting the terminal-blocked compound to addition reaction. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio |
