titleOfInvention Antifreeze
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain an antifreeze excellent in the prevention of the corrosion of metal in a cooling system and resistant even to a hard water having high hardness by using a glycol as the principal component and sebacic acid, butyl benzoate, and a triazole as the constituents. n CONSTITUTION: An antifreeze which is composed mainly of a glycol, does not contain a phosphoric salt, an amine salt, a silicic acid salt, a boric acid salt, and a nitrous acid salt, and contains 0.5-4.0wt.% of at least one of sebacic acid and alkali metal salts thereof, 0.5-3.0wt.% of at least one of p-tert.butyl benzoate and alkali metal salts thereof, and 0.05-1.0wt.% triazole. This antifreeze has no possibility of producing nitrosoamine which is a carcinogen. It does not cause such trouble as stoppage of circulation, etc., when used in a cooling system. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
