abstract PURPOSE: To form a large amount of isoamyl alcohol by transforming Saccharomyces cerevisiae with an architectural plasmid having an inserted gene encoding an amino acid sequence of enzyme α-isopropyl malate synthase. n CONSTITUTION: A gene (LEU4) encoding an amino acid sequence of enzyme α-isopropyl malate synthase is separated from Saccharomyces cerevisiae with an architectural plasmid having an inserted gene encoding AH22 strain by using multi-copy type plasmid pY11, the gene is inserted into a multi-copy type or single copy type plasmid, Saccharomyces cerevisiae is transformed with an architectural plasmid thereof and a large amount of isoamyl alcohol is produced by using the transformed Saccharomyces cerevisiae or the amount of isoamyl alcohol produced is controlled. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
