titleOfInvention Soil conditioner and method of utilizing it
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a soil conditioner which can accelerate the nodulation of soil into which it is incorporated and can realize the diversity and stability of biota in soil by using a principal component comprising a liquid obtained by boiling soybean, serving as a nitrogen source, and adding thereto waste molasses and a liquid obtained by boiling dried gourd shavings, serving as carbon sources, so as to provide a specific C/N ratio. n CONSTITUTION: A principal component comprising a liquid obtained by boiling soybean, serving as a nitrogen source, is mixed with waste molasses and a liquid obtained by boiling dried gourd shavings, serving as carbon source, so as to provide a carbon to nitrogen ratio (C/N) of 10-50% suitable for microbial decomposition, thus giving a soil conditioner. When it is put into soil having deteriorated soil fertility, microoganisms and animals in the field will take it as nutrient source to multiply to thereby accelerate the formation of a nodular structure of soil and, due to their action to decompose organic matter, crops will smoothly absorb various vitamins, hormones, minerals, nucleic acids, and trace elements to form an antibody so that they are prevented from suffering blight, their healthy growth is accelerated, and the yield and quality can be improved. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
