titleOfInvention Drinking water container having organic halogen compound-decomposing function
abstract PURPOSE: To decompose organic halogen compounds in drinking water by setting a photo-catalyst in a drinking water container. n CONSTITUTION: A photo-catalyst 2 is put in the side plane or the bottom plane of a drinking water container main body 1 and a radiation lamp 3 to radiate light to the surface of the catalyst is put in the opposite position to the catalyst. As the photo-catalyst 2, TiO 3 , ZnO, RuO 2 , WO 3 , TiNb 2 O 7 , Nb 2 O 3 , etc., are used and preferably TiO 2 , ZnO, etc., on which Pt is carried is used. As the radiation lamp 3, one such as an ultraviolet-ray lamp, a xenon lamp, and a high pressure mercury lamp which radiate electromagnetic waves with wavelength shorter than 400nm is used. With this drinking water container, organic halogen compounds are surely and efficiently decomposed. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
