titleOfInvention Polyether composition
abstract PURPOSE: To provide a highly useful polyether composition giving base solutions having good heat resistance and excellent viscosities when utilized as a solvent, by compounding a specific alkylene oxide adduct of a polyhydric alcohol. n CONSTITUTION: A polyether composition comprises an EO.PO adduct prepared by addition-reacting on average 0.5-2.0 moles of propylene oxide (PO) to one terminal hydroxyl group of an EO adduct which is prepared by addition-reacting 6-200 moles of ethylene oxide(EO) to a polyhydric alcohol. The polyester composition further contains 0.005-1wt.% of an alkali and/or alkaline earth metal salt, especially the potassium salt and/or sodium salt of an organic acid. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
