abstract PURPOSE: To reduce stickiness and improve moldability by compounding a fluoroelastomer with a specific diphenyl compd. n CONSTITUTION: 100 pts.wt. fluroelastomer (e.g. a vinylidene fluoride-- hexafluoropropylene copolymer) is compounded with 0.02-5 pts.wt. compd. of formula I (wherein R 1 and R 2 are each 2-12C alkyl; and X is a single bond, 1-3C alkylene, a group of formula II, -NH-, -SO 2 -, -S-, or -O-) (e.g. dioctyldiphenylamine of formula III). The resulting compsn. gives molded items which do not stick to each other immediately often being pressed and do not allow flash to stick to them in the deflashing step, allowing no defective molding to be produced. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
