abstract PURPOSE: To improve the retain-stability of coloring sensitivity and colored image by using 3-(N-isobutyl-N-methylamino)-6-methyl-7-amilinofluoran as a coloring agent, and combining 2-benzyl oxynaphthalene as a sensitizer. n CONSTITUTION: 3-(N-isobutyl-N-methylamino)-6-methyl-7-anilino-fluoran, which is used as a coloring agent, is characterized by an X-ray diffraction pattern which shown a high peak at an diffraction angle (2θ) 6.9° by Cu-Kα rays and shows a comparatively high peak at 19.4°, and is a compound of which melting point is 159-161°C. As a developer, a phenolic substance which is represented by bisphenol A, aromatic carboxylic acid, or their ester and polyhydric metallic salt, etc., is used, and in addition, as a sensitizer, 2-benzyl axynaphthalene is used. The coloring agent can be solely used, and in addition, it can be used by mixing other coloring compound, e.g. triphenylmethane, fluoran, thiazine, or spiropyran compound for adjustment of the coloring hue, in response to requirements. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
