titleOfInvention Mold for fiber-reinforced resin
abstract PURPOSE:To make the setting of a foamed member or reinforcing fiber mat easy by a method in which a mold is composed of the bottom force which molds the outer front surface of a molded object while the reinforcing fiber is set and the top force which molds the rear surface of the molded object while a foamed core and the reinforcing fiber are set, and then a number of pins which keep by penetration the foamed core and the reinforcing fiber are arranged in the recessed part of the top force. CONSTITUTION:A bottom force 4 is used as the cavity-mold which molds the outer surface 1 of the molded object of an engine hood, and a top force 5 is used as a core-mold. A number of pins 6 made of metal are soldered into the recessed part of the top force 5 and are driven thereinto, thereby fitting them by means of solder, etc. A number of said pins are arranged in the recessed part of the top force 5 correspondingly to the shape of a foamed core 3. The reinforcing fiber mat 1a of glass fiber, etc., preliminarily formed into a mat-shape is set in the bottom force 4. The foamed core 3 preliminarily formed of urethane, etc., and a reinforcing fiber mat 2a are fitted into the top force 5, while the pins 6 penetrate them in super-imposed state. Since holding parts 6a, 6b, 6c, etc., are formed on the pin 6, the foamed core 3 and the reinforcing fiber mat 2a are kept in the top force 5 against their dead weight.
