abstract PURPOSE: To improve impact resistance, mold and compounding an arom. polyester resin with a specific epoxidized acrylic ester copolymer. n CONSTITUTION: 100 pts.wt. mixture of ethylene, a vinyl carboxylate (e.g. vinyl acetate), and an acrylic ester (e.g. methyl acrylate) is copolymerized with 0.1-10 pts.wt. epoxidized vinyl monomer (e.g. glycidyl methacrylate) to give an epoxidized acrylic ester copolymer. 5-30wt.% the epoxidized acrylic ester copolymer is melt mixed with 70-95wt.% arom. polyester resin. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
