titleOfInvention Deodorized polyurethane foam
abstract PURPOSE: To improve deodorizing effect (and persistence thereof) by incorporating a deodorizing component selected from phosphoric acid, (hypo)phosphorous acid, chloric acid, (hypo)chlorous acid or salts thereof in a polyurethane foam. n CONSTITUTION: A fine particle of a deodorizing component (A) is obtd. by depositing a deodorizing component selected from phosphoric acid, (hypo)phosphorous acid, chloric acid, (hypo)chlorous acid or salts thereof on a porous carrier (e.g. fine particle of silica/alumina) and in addition, if necessary, incorporating a peroxide, an oxide, a carbonate, a sulfate, etc., of Fe, Ti, Zr, Mo, W, Zn, etc., and grinding the mixture into particles of a diameter of 50μm or smaller. A raw material of a polyurethane foam (B) consisting of a polyol, an org. polyisocyanate, a catalyst, a foaming agent and a foam stabilizer is compounded with 1-2% component A and the component B is reacted to obtain a deodorizing polyurethane foam with a density of 0.02-0.10g/cm 3 . n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
