abstract NEW MATERIAL:A 3-aminothieno[3,2-a]indolizine derivative expressed by formula I [R 1 is acetyl, (nitro-substituted) phenyl, (substituted) benzoyl or naphthoyl; R 2 and R 3 are lower alkyl, (n) is 0-2]. n EXAMPLE: Ethyl 2-acetyl-3-methylthieno[2,3-b]indolizine-9-carboxylate. n USE: An antiallergic agent, anti-inflammatory and analgesic agents. n PREPARATION: An indolizine derivative (e.g. ethyl 2-acetonylthio-1- cyanoindolizine-3-carnoxylate) expressed by formula II is heated in the presence of a base (e.g. 1,8-diazabicyclo[5.4.0]-7-undecene) in an inert solvent, such as ethanol, at ambient temperature to the refluxing temperature. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
