titleOfInvention Separation membrane and separation method
abstract PURPOSE: To selectively separate an organic solvent having affinity to an acrylic graft polymer by blocking up fine pores of a ultra high molecular weight polyethylene finely porous film with acrylic graft polymer. n CONSTITUTION: Methylacrylate is plasma-polymerized on a finely porous membrane of a super high molecular weight polyethylene having 0.1-50μm thickness, 30-95% of porosity, 0.005-1μm of average pore size, at least 200kg/cm 2 of rupture strength, and at least 5×10 5 weight average molecular weight. The fine pores of the finely porous membrane are blocked up by the polymerization. Benzene is separated from an organic solvent mixture containing benzene and cyclohexane by a pervaporation method or a reverse osmosis method using the membrane. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
