titleOfInvention Preparation of biological substance by cell culture
abstract PURPOSE: To continuously and efficiently obtain a biological substance by carrying out preculture of a cell by a first bioreactor, continuously transferring the cell to a second bioreactor and carrying out induction bringing about production of a biological substance. n CONSTITUTION: Preculture of a cell is carried out by a first bioreactor and the cell is continuously transferred to a second bioreactor. Induction bringing about production of a biological substance (e.g. protein or enzyme) is carried out when the cell is transferred or after the cell was transferred to continuously provide the biological substance. The induction form includes an induction due to infection with other organisms (e.g. virus), that due to temporary or permanent change in chemical factor (e.g. addition of phorbol ester) or that due to temporary or permanent change in physical factor (e.g. change in pH, irradiation of light or magnetic action). n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO
