abstract PURPOSE: To detect the time difference between the appearance points of time of the predetermined ratio areas of both dilution curves to the total area with still more high accuracy by subtracting the required time of an Na dilution curve from that of a heat dilution curve to detect the time difference between the appearance points of time of predetermined ratio areas. n CONSTITUTION: An injection catheter is inserted in the right atrium or right ventricle from a vein to be set to an injection point and the leading end of a sensor catheter 1 is stayed in the abdominal artery. For example, the injection of a saline solution cooled to 0-5°C is started and, at the same time, a start signal is generated by a keyboard 15. By this method, the latching of a blood temp. signal Tb from a thermistor 3 through a heat dilution signal generating circuit 4 and an A/D converter 6 and that of an injection temp. signal Ti from electrodes 2, 2a through an Na dilution signal generating circuit 5 and the A/D converter 6 are started to store data in an BAM 10b. A CPU 10c analyzes peak values, 20%-, 48.5%-, 50%-and 90%-values thereof and the rising points AT of time from the waveform data of both of them to calculate respective mean appearance times. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
