NEW MATERIAL:A crotonic acid amide derivative of formula I (X 1 -X 5 are H,halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, nitro, alkane sulfonyl, alkane sulfonyloxy, benzene sulfonyl, phenoxy, benzyloxy, alkoxycarbonyl, pyridyloxy, pyrimidinyl, etc.,). n EXAMPLE: 3-Amino-N-[3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)pheny1]-2-cyano-4,4,4-trifluorocrotonic amide. n USE: An insecticide for agriculture and horticulture or aninsecticide for preventing epidemics. The compound of formula I ezhibits good insecticidal activities against injurious insects such as Lepidoptera Linnaeus or diptera Linnaeus insects. Since having a chemical structure different from conventional insecticides, the compound of formula I iseffective against chemical resistant injurious insects. n PREPARATION: For example, a cyanoacetoanilide of formula II is reacted with trifluoroacetonitrile in the presence of a base to prepare the crotonic acidamide derivative of formula I. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio |
