PURPOSE: To provide a highly safe therapeutic agent for metabolic bone disease having a strong bone absorption-depressing activity by containing a cyclic anthranilic acid derivative as an active ingredient. n CONSTITUTION: A therapeutic agent for metabolic bone disease contains at least one of compounds of the formula (R 1 -R 3 are H, halogen, 1-3C lower alkyl, 1-3C lower alkyl, amino, nitro, hydroxy, etc.; R 4 and R 5 are H, 1-3C lower alkyl, cyano, carboxyl, etc.; R 6 is H, 1-3C lower alkyl, etc.; X is methylene, O, S, etc.), acid adduct salts thereof and alkali salts thereof as an active ingredient.
