titleOfInvention Production of optically active substance
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain an optically active substance having high optical purity with simple procedure under mild condition by treating a specific amino acid, etc., with cultured cell, etc., of microorganism selected from specific bacteria and actinomycetes. n CONSTITUTION: An L-amino acid and an N-substituted carbonyl-D-amino acid are produced by adding an N-substituted carbonyl-D,L-amino acid of formula I {R is group of formula II [R 1 is H or (halogen-substituted) 1-10C alkyl], formula III, formula IV, etc.; R 2 is (halogen-substituted) 1-5C alkanoyl or benzoyl} or its salt to a cultured cell liquid or treated liquid of a bacterial strain selected from genus Serratia, Staphylococcus, Bacillus, etc., or an actinomycete selected from genus Actinoplanes, Sebekia, etc., at a concentration of 0.5-20% and reacting the components at 10-60°C and pH4-10 for 0.5-4 days. The objective L-amino acid can be separated from the mixed solution in purified state by treating the solution with an ion exchange resin, etc. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
