titleOfInvention Antistatic polyester fiber and its production
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the title fiber which is useful in lingerie, because it has excellent fibrillation resistance, antistatic properties and abrasion resistance and shows soft and elegant feel, by melt-extruding polyester, cooling, taking up at a high speed and directly drawing under specific conditions without temporary winding. n CONSTITUTION: Polyester is melt-extruded, cooled and taken up at a speed of 3,000 to 6,500m/min and drawn, without temporary winding up around a bobbin, under such conditions as the equations: y≥0.7x+1950 and 5y≤3x+16,000 where x is the take-up speed in m/min; y is the drawing speed in m/min to produce the subject fibers which has continuous hollow extending in the lengthwise direction, and contains at most 3wt.% of polyoxyalkylene glycol and ionic antistatic agent both of which are inert with the polyester, and satisfy simultaneously the followings: 40 to 70Å of crystal size on the (100) face; 0.03 to 0.09 of amorphous orientation ▵na; 740 to 850kg/mm 2 of Young's modulus and more than 0.05 of optical birefringence ▵n. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
