abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain thermal recording paper having color forming sensitivity suitable to high speed recording and excellent in preservability by incorporating 1, 5-diisopropylnaphthalene in a thermal color forming recording layer alone as a sensitizer or incorporating the same along with a specific aromatic compound. n CONSTITUTION: 1, 5-diisopropylnaphthalene is contained in a thermal color forming recording layer as a sensitizer alone or along with 3 - 30% by wt. of said sensitizer of an aromatic compound with an m.p. of 60 - 110°C. 1, 5- diisopropylnaphthalene is one of position isomers of DIPN usually obtained by reacting naphthalene with propylene and has an m.p. of 105°C. As the aromatic compound with an m.p. of 60 - 110°C, benzyl, 2, 6-DIPN, acetoacetic ortho-toluidide, m-terphenyl or β-naphthylbenzyl ether can be designated. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio |
