titleOfInvention | 3'-azido-3'-deoxy-5'-o-stearoylthymidine |
abstract | NEW MATERIAL:3'-Azido-3'-deoxy-5'-O-stearoylthymidine. n USE: An antiviral agent capable of sustaining stable blood concentration and relieving toxicity derived from the blood concentration due to excellent in vivo sustained release. Time-dependent pharmacological effects can be exhibited to the maximum and high treating effects are provided. Since a low frequency of administration to patients is sufficient, compliance of the patients is improved. n PREPARATION: One mol 3'-azido-3'-deoxythymidine is reacted with a reactive derivative of stearic acid (e.g. stearoyl chloride) in a molar amount of 1-2 times in a solvent, such as THF, preferably at 0-10°C for 1-50hr. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio |
