titleOfInvention Preparation of oriented protein film, artificial structure comprising the same film and its use
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the title orientated film constituting an artificial structure for photoelectric transfer element by orientating protein, then crosslinking the protein between itself to form an orientated protein film, orientating protein on the film, crosslinking the protein between itself and the protein between the adjoining film. n CONSTITUTION: Protein (e.g. halorhodopsin) 1 is adsorbed on a substrate 3 and orientated by using electrophoresis or antigen-antibody reaction, the protein 1 is crosslinked between itself by using a crosslinking agent such as glutaraldehyde, carbodiimide or diamine to form an orientated protein film, then protein 1 is orientated on the film, the protein 1 is crosslinked between itself by a crosslinking agent 2, the protein is crosslinked between this protein and protein of the adjoining film with the crosslinking agent and optionally these operations are repeated for required times to give the objective orientated protein film to constitute artificial structure. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
