titleOfInvention Stabilization of haloallylfuran carbinols
abstract PURPOSE: To profitably stabilize a haloallylfuran carbinol without requiring a high viscosity, a high installation cost, etc., by adding a specific compound as a stabilizing agent to the haloallyfluran carbinol useful as an intermediate for agricultural chemicals, drugs, perfumes, etc. n CONSTITUTION: The stabilization of a haloallylfuran carbinol of formula I (R 1 is H or methyl; R 2 is Cl or Br) comprises adding a piperazine of formula I (R 3 is hydroxyl or amino) as a stabilizer thereto. The compound of formula I includes 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-hydroxy-piperidine or 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-amino- piperidine and is used in an amount of ≥100ppm, preferably 500-20000ppm, based on the compound of formula II. A method for adding the compound of formula I comprises e.g. dissolving the compound of formula I in a solvent such as benzene and subsequently adding the compound of formula II to the solution. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
