titleOfInvention Production of stretchable woven or knit fabric
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a woven or knit fabric excellent in resilience and drapeability and capable of exhibiting high stretch elasticity by heat-treating a woven or knit fabric using a polybutylene terephthalate-based elastic yarn and polyethylene terephthalate-based yarn, both of them unsubjected to drawing and heat treatment. n CONSTITUTION: Elastic yarn obtained by melt spinning a block copolymeric polyether.polyester containing hard segments of a polyethylene terephthalate- based polyester and soft segments of a polyoxybutylene glycol-based polyether (preferably having 500-3000 average molecular weight) at 0.25-4.0 times, especially 0.25-2.5 times weight ratio of the polyether parts to the polyester parts without being subjected to drawing and heat treatment polyethylene terephthalate-based polyester fiber are used, woven or knitted to provide a woven or knit fabric, which is then heat-treated at a temperature within the range of ≥(the glass transition point of the polyester in the hard segments + 20°C) to 160°C. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
