titleOfInvention Thermal transfer image receiving material
abstract PURPOSE:To obtain an image of high transfer density by applying a coating solution obtained by dispersing an aqueous fine particle dispersion of a dye acceptive polymer and a high b.p. org. solvent and/or a hot solvent in a water- soluble binder solution to a support and drying the coating layer to form an image receiving layer. CONSTITUTION:As the coating solution for the image receiving layer formed on a support, for example, a composition prepared by mixing a dispersion, which is obtained by emulsifying and dispersing an aqueous fine particle dispersion of a dye acceptive polymer and a dye acceptive high b.p. org. solvent and/or a hot solvent or a low b.p. org. solvent solution thereof in water or a water-soluble polymer aqueous solution, with a water-soluble binder aqueous solution is designated. As the dye acceptive polymer, there are a polyacrylic ester resin, a polycarbonate resin, a polyurethane resin, polyamide resin or the like. As the high b.p. org. solvent, esters and amides are designated. When this thermal transfer image receiving material is used, a high density transfer image excellent in preservability with the elapse of time is obtained.
