abstract PURPOSE: To provide the title composition excellent in adhesivity and water resistance, useful for bonding biological tooth tissue and materials for repairing said tissue, comprising specific polymer powder, radically polymerizable unsatu rated monomer(s) and a radical polymerization initiator. n CONSTITUTION: The objective composition comprising (A) polymer powder prepared by radical polymerization between (1) a radical by polymerizable unsaturated monomer free from carboxyl group or its anhydride group such as methyl methacrylate and (2) a silane compound having polymerizable unsatu rated group such as γ-methacryloyloxypropyl trimethoxysilane, (B) at least one compound selected from radically polymerizable unsaturated monomers (e.g. methyl methacrylate) and (C) a radical polymerization initiator such as azobisisobutylonitrile. The present composition is applicable to various kinds of repairing materials, and can be used as a thermosetting material for amalgams, alumina, gold, alloy materials, crown resins, etc., and as a denture base resin. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
