titleOfInvention | Thermoplastic polyester resin composition for molding |
abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the title composition high in crystallization rate, thus capable of giving products of good heat resistance, mechanical strength and surface characteristics using a lowtemperature mold in a high molding cycle by blending, prior to molding, a polyester resin containing at high concentration a metallic salt as crystal nucleating agent with a nucleating agent-free polyester resin. n CONSTITUTION: The objective composition comprising (A) 0.5-300 pts.wt. of a thermoplastic polyester resin containing 0.1-20wt.% of an organic carboxylic acid metal salt compound and (B) 100 pts.wt. of a thermoplastic polyester resin. The resins of the respective components A and B are each polyethylene terephthalate or its block copolymer with a polyether compound. The present composition may be further incorporated with 5-50wt.% of glass fiber. Said organic carboxylic acid metal salt is e.g. a 6-30C aliphatic carboxylic acid sodium salt, sodium p-t-butylbenzoate. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio |
