titleOfInvention Organic ferromagnetic precursor, organic ferromagnetic material and preparation thereof
abstract PURPOSE: To prepare an organic ferromagnetic precursor comprising oxo or thioxo group-containing aromatic compounds crosslinked with methine bonds by polycondensing a specific aromatic compound with a specified aromatic aldehyde compound in the presence of an acid catalyst and subsequently oxidizing the polycondensed product to form oxo or thioxo groups thereon. n CONSTITUTION: An aromatic compound having one or more of hydroxyl, mercapto, dialkylamino and methoxy groups is polycondensed with an aromatic aldehyde having at least one formly group in the presence of an acid catalyst and the prepared triarylmethane type polymer is oxidized to form oxo or thioxo groups, thereby providing an organic ferromagnetic precursor comprising aromatic compounds having one or more oxo or thioxo groups and crosslinked with methine groups. The radicalization of the methine carbon portion of the precursor preferably by the irradiation of UV rays, etc., gives an organic ferromagnetic material having a radical concentration of ≥10 17 /g, excellent moldability and a light weight. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
