titleOfInvention Production of 9,9'-bis(amino-or iminophenyl) fluorene
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain 9,9'-bis(amino- or iminophenyl) fluorene useful as a component of epoxy resins or a crosslinking agent for polymers, by reacting 9- fluorenone with a prim. or sec. aniline compound under the existence of an acid perfluorosulfonic acid polymer as a catalyst. n CONSTITUTION: The objective substance, 9,9'-bis(amino- iminophenyl) fluorene, is botd. by reacting 9-fluorenone with an aniline compound of formula I, (where R 1 =H, an alkyl, an aryl, OH or NO 2 and R 2 =H, an alkyl or a halogen), under the existence of an acid perfluorosulfonic acid polymer as the catalyst. The catalyst preferably has a repeating unit of formula II or III, [where n=0-2; R=a 1-10C perfluoroalkyl or F; and X=O(CF 2 ) m or OCF 2 CFY, (where m=2-20; and Y=C or CF 3 )], preferably formula IV, (where the ratio of (x) to (y) is 2-50), and is supported on alumina or Si carbide as a substrate. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO
