titleOfInvention Synthetic filter device for removing contaminant of low-concentration metal from water and its method
abstract PURPOSE: To surely remove the metals dissolved from process water in a specific medical treatment application by packing beds enclosing an effective amt. of cation resins acting to deionize in the hollow inside of a hollow cylindrical body consisting of bonded carbon particles. n CONSTITUTION: The supplied water is passed through a block 11 consisting of the bonded active carbon, by which the heavy metal ions are first partly removed. The supplied water is then fluidized through the beds enclosing the cation resins 25 acting to deionize from the block 11 of the active carbon, by which part of the cation included in the water including part of the heavy metal ions past the block 11 of the active carbon are removed. The resins acting to deionize are exchanged with ion exchange resins. The water supplied through the bed of the block 11 of the active carbon is fluidized and is subjected to the ion exchange with the cation having the low activity in the ion exchange resins, by which the ions of the heavy metals are partly removed. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO
