abstract PURPOSE: To make it possible to measure oxygen concentration in blood by using an indicator for generating a radiation light when it is exposed with external radiation of a light. CONSTITUTION: When a certain oxygen indicator dye is diffused or fixed in silicon matrix and irradiated with an optical beam 4 from a light source 2, it radiates fluorescence having a frequency sensitive to the vanishment of an oxygen indicating indicator. Then, fluorescent radiation of at least two wavelength ranges in which the output is varied according to the frequency is measured to make it possible to measure the specified fluorescence vanished due to the presence of oxygen.
