abstract | PURPOSE: To easily obtain a substantially pure enantiomer of the subject compound, by producing diastereomers by substituting OH of carboxy with an asymmetrical amine or the like, separating and obtaining a substantially pure diastereomer, and then hydrolyzing the same. n CONSTITUTION: A diastereomer in which OH of carboxy of formula I (R, R 1 -R 3 are each H, an alkyl, an aryl, an aralkyl or the like; R 1 ≠R 2 ≠R 3 ; Y is a Lewis acid having p orbital forming a stable complex with lone electron-pair or ring N) is substituted with an asymmetrical amine or the residue of an α-amino acid, is prepared, then is separated to obtain a substantially pure diastereomer of the derivative, and is hydrolyzed to separate a substantially pure enantiomer of formula II ((x) is 0 or 1; (y) is 1 or 2; x+y<3; exo form, end form or a mixture of these), which is useful as an intermediate for synthesis of oxidiazoles having muscarine agonist activity, by crystallization or the like. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO |
