titleOfInvention Reduction of dimer content in ketone
abstract PURPOSE: To easily reduce a dimer content in ketone, by bringing a solution of ketone monomer including α,β ethylene-like unsaturation to a carbonyl group, into contact with a specific peroxide such as benzoyl peroxide under a specific condition. n CONSTITUTION: A liquid mixture composed of at least one kind of monomer of formula I (R 1 , R 2 is H, a 1-14C alkyl, R 3 is a 1-4C alkyl, a 6-10C aromatic group), effectively used for a photoresist, and a dimer of the same as an impurity, is brought into contact with at least one kind of peroxide selected from benzoyl peroxide and peroxides of formula II (R 4 is a 1-6C branched or straight chain alkyl, a 6-10C aromatic group; (n) is 1, 2), at a temperature (0-45°C) and for a timer suitable for reducing the dimer content in the mixture by at least 20wt.%, whereby the dimer content in the composition can easily be reduced. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO
