PURPOSE: To prepare a cosmetic and a pharmaceutical composition, comprising an aryl-substituted ethylene, capable of inducing, maintaining and promoting the body hair growth and useful for especially treating alopecia. n CONSTITUTION: This cosmetic composition is prepared by formulating 0.0001-99wt.% aryl-substituted ethylene represented by the formula [R 1 to R 4 are each H, OH, OC n H 2n+1 , NO 2 , Cl, Br, F, etc.; R 5 and R 6 are each H, CN, etc.; R 7 is H or OH; (n) is 1-8] as a protein tyrosine kinase inhibitor, 1-99.999wt.% excipient and further, as necessary, a perfume, an activity enhancer, a hair growth stimulant, etc. The composition is converted into a product of a lotion, a shampoo, a milky lotion or a cream for use. 1- Carboxy-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)ethylene is exemplified as the inhibitor represented by the formula.
