titleOfInvention Deodorizing board for molding
abstract PURPOSE: To prevent the generation of a malodor even under a bad condition such as high temp. and high humidity by using a zinc compound in place of a ferrous salt and also using aliphatic polycarboxylic acid or aromatic polycarboxylic acid in combination with said compound. n CONSTITUTION: In a deodorizing board for molding prepared by using a deodorizing component in a molding boar containing a phenol resin as a binder, the deodorizing component is constituted of a zinc compound and aliphatic or aromatic polycarboxylic acid. The molding board containing the phenol resin as the binder is prepared by using various hairs, sawdust, hemp, wood flour, synthetic fiber or a natural fiber as a raw material to compound a liquid or powdery phenol resin therewith and pressing the obtained compound in a predetermined mold to heat and mold the same at 150 - 250°C. As aliphatic polycarboxylic acid, for example, oxalic acid, malonic acid, succinic acid, glutaric acid, adipic acid, pimelic acid, fumaric acid, maleic acid, di or tricarboxylic acid and salts thereof are designated. By this method, not only an amine type malodorous component but also a sulfur type malodorous component can be deodorized. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
