abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the printing plate which has less problems in safety and sanitation and has excellent coating property by using a solvent mainly consisting of methyl carbitol as a solvent for dissolving a photosensitive compsn. n CONSTITUTION: The photosensitive compsn. to be used as a photosensitive layer includes a photosensitive resin compsn., etc. The resin compsn. consists mainly of a photosensitive resin having unsatd. double bonds in the molecule and includes a photosensitive resin contg. a photosensitive group -CH=CH-CO- in the polymer main chain and polyvinyl cinnamate having a photosensitive group in the side chain of the polymer. The respective components mentioned above are dissolved into a coating solvent contg. prescribed methyl carbitol and an auxiliary quantity of methyl lactate to prepare a coating liquid and this liquid is applied on a substrate.
