abstract PURPOSE:To facilitate the formation of a crosslinked polyolefin by subjecting a copolymer of an alkenylsilane with an olefin to a specified treatment. CONSTITUTION:A copolymer of an alkenylsilane (e.g. vinylsilane) with an olefin (e.g. propylene), desirably a copolymer containing about 0.001-30mol% alkenylsilane, is irradiated with a radiation (e.g. gamma-rays or electron beams) and heat-treated at a temperature of desirably 30 deg.C, more desirably 50 deg.C to the heat resistance temperature of the polyolefin.
