| abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the subject application agent, containing a specified drug, and respective specific amounts of specific higher fatty acid ester and amide compound as the absorbefacient for the aforementioned drug in a tacky agent layer on a specified support and capable of maintaining a high blood level of the drug in a small area for a long period. n CONSTITUTION: A sustained release percutaneous absorbable application agent, obtained by providing a tacky agent layer containing 1-42wt.% 4-(1-methyl-4- piperidylidene)-4H-benzo[4,5]cyclohepta[1,2-b]thiophen-10(9H)-one and/or a salt thereof useful as a medicine for allergic diseases and further (A) a 1-10C alcohol ester of a 10-18C higher fatty acid and (B) a compound having amide bond as the absorbefacient for the above-mentioned drug on a drug-impermeable support, having high skin permeability of the aforementioned drug with high treating effects and excellent in safety an feeling in the application.
