titleOfInvention | Selective quantification of polyamine |
abstract | PURPOSE: To selectively quantify a polyamine by converting said polyamine in a sample to a ω-aminoalkylaldehyde and by making a ω-aminoalkylaldehyde hydrogenase act on the above aldehyde. n CONSTITUTION: A polyamine in a sample is first converted to a ω-aminoalkplaldehyde, and, in the presence of an oxidative nicotinamide coenzyme, a ω-aminoalkylaldehyde hydrogenase ≤10% in the relative activity (corresponding to the ratio of the enzymatic activity with 5-aminopentanal as substrate to that with 4-aminobutanal as substrate) is made to act on said aldehyde at such an amount that the enzymatic activity measured with both 4-aminobutanal and oxidative nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide as substrates fall between 0.001 and 3 units. Thence, the reducive nicotinamide coenzyme produced is quantified to accomplish the objective selective quantification of the polyamine. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio |
