titleOfInvention Silver halide photographic sensitive material
abstract PURPOSE: To enhance the sensitivity and gradation of a sensitive material without deteriorating the graininess by spectrally sensitizing a prescribed silver halide emulsion with a specified dyestuff. n CONSTITUTION: The silver halide emulsion of this sensitive material has ≥20% relative standard deviation of the silver iodide contents of the silver halide particles and has been spectrally sensitized with a dyestuff represented by formu la I (where each of Z 1 and Z 2 is a group of atoms required to form a desired nucleus, each of R 1 and R 2 is (substd.) lower alkyl, X⊖ is an anion and n is 1 or 2). A compd. represented by formula II may be used as the dyestuff represented by the formula I. The silver halide emulsion may be produced by mixing emulsions having different silver iodide contents and a fluorine-contg. surfactant may be incorporated into a desired layer. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
