NEW MATERIAL: A compound of formula I (wherein n is 1-6; M is a dispersible and magnetoreactive material or particle which contains an amino group; and P is a protein). n USE: Useful for removal of cells such as marrow cells or antigens from body fluid, etc., depletion of marrow cells or HLA type characterization. n PREPARATION: In the first place, a magnetic particle M containing an amino group is reacted with a compound of formula II in an organic solvent such as DMF to obtain a compound of formula III, which compound is converted to a compound of formula IV by reductive cleavage of the disulfide bond using dithiothreitol, etc. Subsequently the compound is reacted with a protein P containing a disulfide bond (preferably a monochlonal antibody of IgG class) in such an aqueous solvent containing salts that does not denature a protein, e.g. a physiologic salt solution. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO |
