PURPOSE: To obtain the title emulsion having excellent antimicrobial and deodorizing effects free from discoloration by linking a polyhexamethylenebiguanide to a sulfonic group-containing monomer by ion bond and copolymerizing the resulting substance with a polyethylene glycol acrylate alkyl ether, etc. n CONSTITUTION: (A) A polyhexamethylenebiguanide (salt) shown by formula I (X is acidic group) is linked to (B) a sulfonic group-containing monomer (e.g. 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid) by ion bond and copolymerized with (C) a polyethylene glycol (meth)acrylate alkyl ether shown by formula II (R1 is H or methyl; R 2 is 1-2C alkyl; m is 4-50), etc., and (D) a hydroxyalkyl (meth)acrylate [preferably a monomer shown by formula III (R 3 is H or methyl; n is 2 or 3)] to give the aimed emulsion containing a water-insoluble polymer having excellent safety, washing durability, etc. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio |
