titleOfInvention | Production of optically active nitrile compound |
abstract | PURPOSE: To make it possible to directly obtain the title compound in mild conditions by reacting a specific compound with a microbial cell (treated material) of microorganism of the genus Nocardia having nitrile hydrolyzing ability. n CONSTITUTION: A microbial strain of Nocardia sp. PA-34, etc., having nitrile hydrolyzing ability is aerobically cultured in a culture medium containing a nitrile compound which is a derived substrate such as propionitrile, glucose, etc., and urea, etc., to afford a microbial cell cultured material (A). Then a racemic nitrile compound (B) such as 2-methylbutane nitrile expressed by the formula (R 1 and R 2 are alkyl which may have mutually different substituent groups; n is 0 or 1) is reacted with the ingredient A at 20-50°C and pH14-13 for 1-15 day to provide a reaction product (C). Then the C ingredient is separated and purified by phase separation, column chromatography, etc., to produce the optically active nitrile compound corresponding to the ingredient B. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio |
