abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain a composition for cosmetics or drugs having beautiful pearl-like gloss, readily fitting well to skins and showing excellent humectation and high storage stability by using a monoacyl type phospholipid very readily dissolving in water. a water-soluble polymer and water. n CONSTITUTION: The subject composition contains 0.1 to 1.0wt.% of a compound of formula I or formula II (R is CO-C 17 H 35 , CO-C 15 H 31 ; X is a group of formula III to V) such as mono-o-acyl-3-glycerylphosphoryl choline, 0.1 to 1.0wt.% of a water soluble high polymer such as xanthane gum and 60 to 96wt.% of water. additionaily. when needed, pigments, perfumes, antiseptics, surfactants, ultraviolet absorber or the like.
