titleOfInvention Electroviscous fluid
abstract PURPOSE:To obtain an electroviscous fluid having excellent heat resistance, durability and stability exhibiting extreme Winslow effect by adsorbing an organic substance solid at room temperature to dispersing particles and dispersing said particles in an electrically insulating fluid. CONSTITUTION:Preferably 10-50 pts.wt. organic substance solid at room temperature such as acetamide, succinonitrile or pentaerythritol is adsorbed to dispersing particles such as cellulose, silica gel or polyether preferably having 10-100mum average particle diameter. Then, said dispersing particles are dispersed in an electroviscous fluid such as a silicone oil, dioctyl phthalate or tricresyl phosphate to afford the aimed electroviscous fluid.
