PURPOSE: To provide an endoparasite combating agent using 3- hydroxybenzothiophene containing a novel compd. as an effective component. n CONSTITUTION: A compd. represented by formula I [wherein X is CH or N, Y is O or NH, R 1 is H, alkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, halogen CN, NO 2 , NH 2 or aryl and R 2 is alkoxy, cycloalkoxy or NR 3 R 4 (R 3 is H or alkyl, R 4 is alkyl or a carbocyclic or heterocyclic-aromatic group or COOR 5 , R 3 and R 4 form a 5-6-membered heterocycle together with N to which they are bonded and R 5 is alkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl)], for example, 3-hydroxy-2-(3- chlorophenylcarbamoyl)-thieno-[2,3-b]-pyridine is added as an effective component. The compd. represented by formula I is obtained by heating a compd. represented by formula II (R 6 is 1-4C alkyl) in the presence of a base or by reacting a compd. represented by formula III (Y is O and Z is halogen) with a compd. represented by formula IV in the presence of a base. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO |
